Opera Max for Android, the app that is designed to help users save data while surfing the web and streaming is updated to help users save data while streaming music as well.
Opera claims that the new feature will save up to 50% of data when streaming from YouTube Music, Pandora, Slacker Radio and others. Unfortunately the company did not mention anything about Spotify or Apple Music yet, but it’s possible that support for those platforms will be added in the future.
Pandora, Slacker Radio, Gaana, Saavn, and YouTube Music are the first five apps that passed our quality-assurance test, but we will support more music-streaming apps in the near future, said Opera product manager Sergey Lossev.
If you are on Android, you can download the app here.
