Just a matter of hours before the OnePlus 2 launches officially and while OnePlus is letting people know about specs through some form of control, leaks have been coming, most notably from China. Android Central reports say that the OnePlus 2 are coming out of China including the chance of the smartphone coming on August 8 at the Beijing OnePlus experience store. It will also notably offer not just OnePlus phones but even accessories. PhoneArena has claimed to have a spec list that appeared in the GFXBench database.
With its onboard storage of 64GB it will be one of the few companies that has a phone model with 4 GB RAM. It also comes with a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter which sounds tempting. Also over on the xda forums, the phone has been leaked completely even with first impressions from a chinese beta tester. chinaleakking has leaked what looks to be a series of images of the phone.
The handset has a metal frame, a fingerprint scanner that isn’t as sensitive and a USB Type-C port and rear-mounted speakers. Power and volume keys are on the right. Behind the textured back panel there’s a dual SIM slot. The leaker also gave his first impressions but gave no word on heat issues yet, since the phone is using a Snapdragon 810 that’s been notorious for overheating and doesn’t like the phone quite as much, just yet.
I am a beta tester from China
I have used the new OnePlus 2 for a few week
Ugly design, but the crafting is good
Thicker body, but feel good in hands
Camera has OIS, but not Sony sensor
Home button with fingerprint sensor, not quite sensitive
Oxygen OS not finalize yet, lots of bugs
Prefer OnePlus One more …
Now we wait to hear what OnePlus has to say and bring us up to speed about the OnePlus 2.
