It’s been rumoured that the next iteration of the iPhone will borrow Force Touch from the Apple Watch, but a new report reveals that it will not be a simple borrow; it will be an enhancement.
According to the report, the new Force Touch – currently dubbed as 3D Force Touch – will detect three degrees of pressure: a tap, a light press, and a firm press. Each will illicit a different response function from the iPhone.
We will have to wait an see later in the week whether this report holds true, and what functionalities will exploit this new feature.
