According to Derek Ross from Phandroid, a new update is coming next month which will bring with it some new features.
One of those new features will be interactive watch faces, which will make use of a single-tap gesture for making interface changes, switching between states, and launching activities. Another one, is a new watch to watch communication platform called “Together”. Similar to the Apple Watch communications features — where users can share heartbeats and other information — Android Wear user will be able to send messages, stickers, emojis, and doodles between each other.
Because of these new feature, Google will be disabling the “tap to launch voice search” gesture in the update to prevent clashes.
