The war for low-cost VR experience is heating up. After Google’s Cardboard program, Microsoft is now following with its own program for Windows devices.
The move has been spotted on a website promoting a hackathon in Russia where Microsoft is trying to attract developers to come up with ideas for VR apps. Microsoft is also offering cardboard headsets to those with ‘successful’ suggestions.
The event will be held on October 17th and will feature three categories for game, education and best corporate apps.
