Microsoft is launching a new app for iPhone, which the company describes as a “smarter camera app.”
Microsoft says that the app uses artificial intelligence to improve images of people by automatically adjusting camera settings and choosing the best photos. The app takes seven pictures when it’s active (before pressing the actual button), 3 after and uses an algorithm to choose the best quality photos among the 10 images. The app automatically enhances focus, colour and exposure.
Microsoft is also introducing their own version of Live Photos, and calling it “live images,” which allows users to create looping videos by stitching burst frames together.
Microsoft’s new Pix camera app works on iPhones and iPads and is available from Apple’s App Store.
