It’s the end of life for Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10. Microsoft is officially ending support.
A patch, which will be released on January 12, will direct Internet Explorer users to upgrade to a modern browser. The “end of life” patch will include an upgrade notification and will have the last round of security patches. The browsers will no longer get any security updates or patches after that date.
Users can still use Internet Explorer 11, the last supported version as Microsoft transitions to Edge browser on Windows 10.
