Statistically, three quarters of smartphone user use their device while sitting in the toilet and taking a dump. YA, that’s right, you know you’re one of them!
Meet Productive, a free app for iOS that offers anonymous messaging, connecting people similarly occupied…..on the loo.
Think of it as a magical place where people from around the globe can anonymously meet to enjoy their time of zen, peace and quite together, by conversing, philosophising and sharing ideas with each other. You can add friends, have group chats or simply enjoy a 1 on 1 conversation… it is so much better and more entertaining then simply reading the back of a shampoo bottle, the developers said.
The app originally started as a kickstarter project earlier this year, but was canceled due to low funding. But despite not reaching the target, the app has been released on iOS for free.
The app lets users connect to each other while in bathrooms nearby, and it comes with an option to send a pre-set “I’m wiping” message, and a menu to broadcast graphic description of a user’s bathroom with song titles. To leave a conversation, all you have to do is press flush.
The developers also said that they want to use this app to raise awareness and money towards clean water in developing countries.
We hope to connect Pooductive with some big charities that focus on both clean water and improving hygiene in developing countries. We’re working as fast as we can to realise our mission and get the charities we have already connected to on board. We hope that through this, Pooductive can have a positive impact – past connecting people on the loo – which has always been our intention.
