A team of techies, backed by Skype cofounder Janus Friis have launched a new communications app called Wire.
Wire is a beautifully designed app that allows users to chat, make HD calls, join one-to-one and group messaging, share SoundCloud music, and more. The software uses end-to-end encryption for all of its voice calls, and encryption to and from its data centres for all messages and syncs across all platforms.
Skype was launched more than a decade ago, a lot has changed since then – we are all used to free calls and texting, and we have taken to carrying our computers in our pockets. It is time to create the best possible communication tools, as beautiful as they are useful. Wire is just that. said Friis in a press release.
Wire is available on iPhones and iPads, Mac App Store and Android. Web browser version is said to be coming soon.
