Microsoft seems to be pushing entry level phones these days, rather than flagship handsets. The company has has released its new Nokia 215, a $29 Series 30+ phone that Microsoft describes as its most affordable smartphone to date.
The Nokia 215 is designed to connect and introduce first-time mobile phone buyers to the Internet and new digital experiences.
The Nokia 215 will run apps like Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, Bing Search, MSN Weather and others. The handset features a 2.4-inch QVGA 320 x 240 pixel display, 0.3-megapixel camera, built-in torch, MP3 and FM radio support and Bluetooth. The 215 is focused on emerging markets, supports 2G connectivity only and will begin its rollout later this quarter, starting first in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe.
