Did you know that we waste around 20 gallons of water when we shower? Well now you know, and Nebia is here to help.
Nebia, a new startup backed by Tim Cook, Eric Schmidt’s Family Foundation and Y Combinator, launched preorders for its first product on Kickstarter.
So what is Nebia?
Simply, Nebia is a cutting edge new shower head designed with high-precision material, which uses 70 percent less water than the average shower head. The developers explain that after 5 years of intense research, they were able to come up with a mechanism that atomizies the water under extreme pressure, which allows the water to break up into millions of micro controlled droplets, optimizing the surface area about “10 times more…than your regular shower.”
The developers also said that The Nebia is so efficient, it blows away EPA’s WaterSense Standards. Where the EPA recommends 2.0 gallons per minute, the Nebia goes at a 0.75 gallons per minute.
