Reports have emerged suggesting that the Taiwan-based chip maker might release 12-core processors in 2015. But is MediaTek’s development justified considering that most apps do not take advantage of even four cores, let alone twelve?
At the moment nothing is known about wether this is true or not, and is even unclear what kind of cores will be used. Some reports also suggest that MediaTek’s 10 t0 12 core processors are being developed for for server makers.
