LG demoed an 18-inch flexible display, the prototype can be rolled down to a 3cm tube while still being functional. The prototype currently has a resolution of 1,200 x 810 and is also transparent.
The display is made of organic light-emitting diodes, or OLEDs.
“by 2017, we will successfully develop an Ultra HD flexible and transparent OLED panel of more than 60 inches.” SVP and Head of R&D, In-Byung Kang said.
