It looks like we got confirmation that LG is indeed manufacturing the next Nexus device for Google, after months of speculations, a source conformed to Android Pit.
It seems that the new Nexus will not be based on the LG G4, but rather on an unreleased prototype. AndroidPit believes that the 2015 Nexus 5 will at least be smaller and cheaper than the Nexus 6.
Other reports from GeekSnack also suggest the new Nexus 5 could possibly be launched in August, along with the release of the final build of Android M. The site also says that a source close to Google claims a “major design improvement,” and will feature wireless charging, fast charging and support for USB Type-C.
