LG have already given us some sneak peaks of two new mid-range smartphones that make up its 2016 lineup ahead of the Mobile World Congress being held in Barcelona.
The first is named the X Cam, and it follows the relatively new trend by featuring dual cameras on the back, which LG states will “deliver the most advanced camera experience in a mass-tier smartphone.” After reviewing the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL I’m going to take that with a pinch of salt. The cameras will be a 5 MP and 13 MP one, with a 8 MP selfie camera on the front. It will also feature a 5.2-inch screen with 3D Bending Glass and have a stylish curved finish to its body. Other specs include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with a 2,520 mAh battery powering it; Android Marshmallow will be its OS.
The X Screen is the other mid-range phone will feature an “always-on” second 1.76-inch screen, that sits above the phone’s 4.9-inch display, which has a HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels. In essence it serves as a separate screen to show users notifications, the battery status, time and so forth, similar to what is being teased for the LG G5 which is the next flagship device of the electronics giant. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

Both phones are set for markets in Asia, Europe and Latin America next month, with no word of a US launch. The X Cam and X Screen will debut officially on February 21 in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress 2016.
Absolute Geeks will be on the ground at the MWC in Barcelona bringing you more details.
