Lenovo’s Sisley S90 wants to be your android-powered iPhone

Lenovo’s latest Chinese market smartphone, the Sisley S90, is officially out it seems and it’s already making waves across the world for its looks – very familiar looks that is. So familiar you might actually think it’s an iPhone 6!

The description photos of the device seem to actually stress on it.

Have look at these hands-on photos of the device taken by Chinese site chineselectronic.com:

Specs wise, the s90 is a 5-inch, 720p AMOLED screen, has 6.9mm body, a quad-core Qualcomm processor, and 1GB of RAM. The back camera is a 13-megapixel shooter and has also an 8-megapixel selfie camera at the front. The device is powered by Android 4.4.4 KitKat and will sell in China for around $330.

I personally find this very weird; Lenovo isn’t the type of company known for being copycats. They always had their own signature designs for as long I can remember, and pretty good ones actually.

We’ve  reached out for comments and got this statement from a spokesman at Lenovo.

While there are external similarities, the Lenovo S90 smartphone has been part of Lenovo’s long-term product roadmap. Considering the product design lifecycle of any smartphone – at least a year in planning and prototyping – it’s not possible to copy a design so quickly. Also, there are several differences in the S90 specs and internal design.
