Lenovo launched 3 new YOGA devices last night and they were unveiled by product engineer Ashton Kutcher (you may know him from some other jobs he’s had!) and they look to cut through the clutter in terms of both design and performance.
Yoga 3 Pro
The Yoga 3 Pro is a fairly lightweight business ultrabook with a 13-inch, QHD+ 3200 x 1800 Gorilla Glass screen. It runs on the latest Intel Core M processor and comes in a choice of colors – Clementine Orange, Platinum Silver or Champagne Gold, and promises 9 hours of battery life.

The standout design feature is the “watchband” hinge, which consists of more than 800 individual pieces of steel and aluminum (much like the wristband of a steel watch), which helps to withstand the rigors of constant convertibility. It comes with 8GB of DDR3L memory and a 256GB SSD.
Yoga Tablet 2 Pro

The Yoga Tablet 2 Pro is a 32GB, 13.3-inch tablet running on Android and includes a built-in projector that lets you beam 16:9 high-resolution images and video directly to a wall or screen. If that’s not good news enough in terms of mobile entertainment, it comes equipped with an 8-watt sound system and subwoofer, which kicks things up a notch.
As for the device itself, it’s got a QHD 2560 x 1440 screen, 15 hours of battery life (which is just the kind of juice you’ll need with this entertainment monster) and an 8MP rear camera. We don’t know where yet, but it will be available even in 4G in some select regions.
Yoga Tablet 2
The Yoga Tablet 2, Lenovo’s second release last night in the YOGA range, comes in 8- and 10-inch models, and in both Android and Windows. It offers minor updates to the previous version, and comes with a slightly different kickstand design.

The trio of new products seems like best practices in terms of what consumers want from their devices. Whether they will be game changers, yet remains to be seen.
