Lenovo is back at it in day 2 with a new range of “Vibe” series smartphones, laptops and TableTop. Here’s what was announced in day2:
The Vibe X2 & Z2
The Vibe X2 is powered by MediaTek’s 4LG True8Core processor (octa-core CPU). According to Lenovo, the use of this chipset will provide a boost of power and help conserve battery life.
The Vibe X2 is a 5-inch Full HD display with a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens, which provides a wider range to shoot group selfies. The front-facing camera can also be activated with a blink of an eye or a smile. The Vibe X2’ is just 7.27mm thick and weighs in at 120g. The device is running Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS, the Vibe X2 is skinned with Lenovo’s Vibe UI 2.0.
The Vibe X2 is what Lenovo is calling a “layered smartphone” and will support Lenovo’s click-on accessories.
The vibe Z2 is a 5.5-inch, 720p HD device with a brushed metal unibody design. The Z2 is Powered by a 64-bit (The first for Lenovo) quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 401 processor and has 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device is powered by a 3000mAh battery and supports dual-SIM capabilities.
The Z2 supports a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera with optical-image-stabilisation and a Sony Exmor SBI sensor, with an 8-megapixel front snapper.

Lenovo HORIZON 2S & 2e
The HORIZON 2S is a new model of the Horizon line of product. The Horizon 2S is 19.5” full HD 1080p computer at only 0.59-inch thick and weighs 5.5lbs. The 2S has a kickstand in the back that retracts into the body allowing it to be used like a tablet computer.
The HORIZON 2e, meanwhile comes with a 21.5-inch FHD screen and both models feature an Intel Core Haswell processor and Windows 8.1, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC (which is optional on the 2e model), Dolby Home Theater stereo speakers, and the ability to run 2.5 hours on the integrated battery (2s) and 3 hours for those with a 2e model.
The Horizon 2s will be selling for $949, while the 2e will start at $749. They launch in September and October, respectively.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Helix
The Thinkpad Helix is a 2-in-1 detachable PC. It has a 11.6” display and weighs about 1.8lbs. The ThinkPad Helix can be used as a pure tablet (detached), or as a laptop.
The new Thinkpad Helix is powered by Intel’s Core M processor, which can achieve around 12 hours of battery life. The Helix also come with a digitizer pen and a smart card reader all wrapped in a dark aluminum finish.
The ThinkPad Helix retains the five modes users rely on to stay productive – Tablet, Stand, Tent, Laptop, and Desktop.
