Lenovo announces new VIBE smartphones debut in the region

Lenovo announced the new additions to its VIBE line of smartphones in the region at an event in Dubai on Monday. The company showcased the  VIBE X2, VIBE Z2 and the flagship VIBE Z2 Pro.

Lenovo VIBE X2 

Lenovo is calling the X2, the world’s first layered smartphone. The VIBE X2 is made of gradient three layer design, available in white, red and gold colours.

 The latest Lenovo VIBE smartphones are designed to cater to intuitive and trendy users who want to stand out from the rest of the crowd and demand beautifully designed smartphones that offer powerful performance,” said Oliver Ebel, Vice President and General Manager, Lenovo MEA.

The VIBE X2 is equipped with the new MediaTEK MT6595 4G LTE True8Core™ processor, a 5-inch FHD resolution display with wide-angle viewing. The VIBE X2 also packs a  5MP wide-angle front camera, featuring auto-shutter gesture controls which allow to capture selfies by blinking the eyes or waving the hand. On the back, there’s a 13MP auto-focus with a back-illuminated sensor and LED flash.

Lenovo also introduced the new click-on accessories, known as VIBE Xtensions™.  The battery extension provides double the duty of the battery life by nearly up to 75 percent, while the VIBE X2 JBL Speaker serves to amplify the phone’s sound and comes with a stand for hands-free use and built-in mic for group conference calls.

VIBE X2 will be available end of November for 1499 AED.

Lenovo VIBE Z2

The VIBE Z2 is a  7.8 mm thin device with a 5.5-inch (1280×720) HD display and packs the company’s first 64-bit powered smartphone.  The Vibe Z2 runs on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 64-bit Quad Core 1.2GHz processor and is backed by a 3000mAh battery, 32 GB of internal storage, and 4G LTE.

The VIBE Z2 also provides dual SIM support and will be available in Titanium Grey by end of November for 1699 AED

Lenovo VIBE Z2 Pro 

The Vibe Z2 Pro is Lenovo’s flagship device packing a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 801 processor at 2.5GHz, quad-core architecture and 3GB of onboard memory. Screen wise, the device has a 6-inch display at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and 490ppi resolution. The Vibe Z2 Pro is 7.7mm thin with a metallic brushed-weave design.

VIBE Z2 Pro offers a wide range of pro photography features with its 16MP rear camera which uses a 16:9 BSI sensor to captures widescreen photos at full resolution. 4K video and high-speed 120fps recordings are also supported. The Vibe Z2 Pro also features optical image stabilization and an enhanced 6 element lens to boost the strong low-light shooting performance of the BSI senor.

The Z2 Pro is powered by a  4000mAh battery and has Dual-SIM capabilities.

Lenovo’s VIBE Z2 Pro will be available first week of October for 2499 AED.
