It looks like Android N will be called Nutella 😱

Last month, Google asked its fans to come up with ideas and vote on what to name the latest version of Android. Last week, Google said it has finally decided on a name and will be announcing it soon, and it looks like it’s going to be really soon if you consider what Hiroshi Lockheimer, the senior vice president Android, Chrome OS, and the Play store just tweeted :

If you look closely, the image shows Android apps like Twitter, Microsoft Word running on ChromeOS, all part of new features announced during this year’s I/O.  In the background, you can also notice an open tab with “Nutella” mentioned in the search field, which is a strong indication that this is the name Google is going for indeed.

Hiroshi Lockheimer also mentioned the name “Nutella” repeatedly on his twitter account before:
