Samsung’s long teased Tizen powered smartphone could see the light next month. The OS was previously rumoured to launch by March 2014.

The latest reports claim that the first Samsung Tizen phone will launch in May in emerging markets.
Citing an unnamed “Samsung official,” the Tizen Indonesia blog has stated that the first Tizen phone will be released in Russia before being rolled out to Brazil and other developing markets.

The report also said that Samsung will target Tizen at “countries where the smartphone market is still possible to develop”

Today, Samsung’s only consumer available Tizen powered products are the Samsung Gear 2 and Samsung Gear 2 Neo smartwatches.
