The latest source for leaks, @Upleaks on twitter (praised by the retired @evleaks) just tweeted what’s rumored to be the galaxy-gear-fit-like wearable.
Code named HTC WWY, rocking a 1.8″ display 32*160, 100 mAh and IP57, for those who don’t know, IP57 means the watch will be dust and water resistant (Up to 1m for 30 mins). However, 100 mAh sounds pretty low, doesn’t it? We’re yet to see any official HTC announcement about any wearable.
This certainly isn’t the first time a HTC device has been leaked. HTC itself almost leaked their own wearable on their HTC Design – Behind the scenes video.
What was HTC’s reply?
HTC encourages our design team to explore and tinker with new ideas and even models, as is the case with the watch some viewers noticed in our recent HTC Design video. It in no way indicates an actual product HTC is planning to release. Keep an eye on this space for exciting new products from HTC when they are ready to be announced
What a classic comment, you’d see this a lot in the tech world where companies leak their prototypes or pre-release units in videos by accident.
Another wearable that was leaked by @Upleaks is the HTC CWZ. The alleged device will be powered by Andriod wear, @Upleaks claim it will be arriving to America/EMEA/Japan/Brazil/Koera and Taiwan, but more on that later
HTC is late to the wearable party where Samsung, LG and Motorola already announced their devices. Could HTC still pull it off? Tell us what you think HTC should include in their smartwatch to make it a the ultimate Smartwatch killer.
