Earlier this week, reports surfaced suggesting Apple maybe be working on an iPhone without a physical home button. Now a second report from AppleInsider has surfaced to back the claims.
AppleInsider stated that the source, “who in the past has correctly shared information about Apple’s future product plans”, says the change would likely debut in 2017.
The report notes that Apple might be able to ditch its Home button even sooner if it wasn’t for Touch ID. According to earlier rumors, Apple is said to be developing a new chip that would make it possible to embed a biometric sensor right into the touchscreen.
