Well apparently, Innovega has decided to take on Google and the wearable technology industry to the next level. The company has announced iOptik, the augmented reality contact lenses.
iOptik lenses represent a different approach as compared to head-worn wearable devices. It allow wearers to see virtual screens in front of them.
“The iOptik lenses with glasses provides an experience “equivalent to watching a 240-inch television at a distance of 10 feet.” Said The Daily Mail
CNET said that the iOptik lenses allows users to focus on both close on faraway objects. It allows for digital information to be projected over the real world like Glass that can show users directions or calling information. It also provides the experience of watching HD movies or playing games.
