IFA 2015 is just few days away in Berlin, packing over 1,500 exhibitors and an estimated 240,000 visitors. Expected between 4 – 9 September, it is the world’s biggest event where technology brands announce and showcase their new products.
So, what are the most anticipated announcements from the world’s biggest brands? Here’s a quick look at some:
HTC
HTC’s virtual reality headset, Vive, is expected to make an appearance at IFA. The headset’s capabilities can be found on its website.
Smartphones wise, it’s not expected to see any new announcements just yet, although leaks suggest some new models are in the works.
Huawei
Since the announcement of the Huawei watch at Mobile World Congress back in March, things have been very quiet on launch dates. It is expected that the company will announce the release dates during this year’s IFA.
The other device expected to make debut is the successor to last year’s Ascend Mate 7.
LG
LG is expected to introduce four 4K OLED TV sets that support HDR. In addition, the company will be introducing its next tablet, the 10.1-inch G Pad II and their latest Rolly Keyboard. There has been a lot of talk as well about a PRO variant of the G4 and a new wearable, but the odds of these two debuting at the event is low.
And no, it’s highly unlikely that LG would announce any Nexus lineup during IFA 2015.
Motorola / Lenovo
In addition to the Moto G, Moto X Play and Moto X Style, Motorola is expected to announce their second generation Moto 360 smartwatch.
Lenovo will likely introduce new tablets, laptops, computers and smartphones.
Samsung
Since all the major new phones and a tablet have been launched already, it appears that the Gear S2 is the main product to make a debut at IFA this year. Samsung will also show off a number of smart TVs with the new HDR, UHD.
Some also expect to see Samsung rolling out the next phase of Gear VR.

In addition to all the major brands announcements, IFA 2015 will also showcase 100s of other brands debuting TVs, smart home appliances and gadgets.
