Huawei has unveiled its new flagship in global event in London. The Huawei P8 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor in terms of metal frame, and now comes in a full-metal unibody that is 6.4mm thick.
The new flagship is wrapped in special nano-coating making it spill-resistant and guarding it against accidental damage.
The P8 screen size is 5.2″ with a 1080p resolution and uses an IPS-Neo display at a 78.3% screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Kirin chipset (Huawei’s in-house chip)(4x CA53@1.5GHz, 4x CAA53e@2.0/2.2GHz). The phone also has 3GB RAM, 16GB or 64GB of storage (with expandable Micro SD), 2,680 mAh battery and running on Android 5.0.
Huawei stressed a lot on the camera and expects it to be one of the P8’s biggest selling points. The 13MP rear camera is packed with “industry leading” optical image stabilization, four-color RGBW sensor and four “professional” quality low-light shooting modes. On the front, there’s a 8MP front camera.
The P8 comes in 16GB Titanium Grey and Mystic Black Champagne colour options, and a premium 64GB version with Prestige Gold and Carbon Black colour options.
