Selfies, selfies, selfies…..you just can’t have enough! The latest manufacturer to focus on selfies is HTC. The company has announced its latest phone, the HTC Desire Eye, a device with a 13MP front-facing camera and back-facing camera, yes, 13MP on both sides.
The Desire Eye has a 5.2-inch Full HD 1080p display powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip at 2.3GHz, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory with a 2,400mAh battery and a microSD capable to expand up to 128GB.
To take selfies to the next level, HTC has equipped the front facing camera with auto-focus, zoom capabilities, a BSI sensor and f/2.2, 22mm wide-angle lens. Additionally, the HTC Desire Eye can record 1080p Full HD video.

HTC had also added some software features to compliment the HTC Eye Experience like Split Capture where it lets users split the screen with shots taken with the front and rear camera. Voice Selfie, Voice Selfie enables users to to activate front-camera capture by saying “say cheese” or “smile”, Video recording can also be activated in the same way by saying “action” or “rolling”.
The HTC Desire Eye will be available in October. No official word on pricing yet.
