HP’s new Spectre 13.3-inch laptop is the world’s thinnest laptop available on on the market.
The HP Spectre has a thickness of just 10.4 mm, weighs in at around 1.1KG (Apple’s 12-inch Retina MacBook is 13.1mm thick and weighs less than 1KG by comparison), and is made out of twin-tone aluminum and carbon fiber chassis. The edge-to-edge, IPS, full HD display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. There are also dual Bang and Olufsen speakers in there.
HP says the Spectre was made made possible through the integration of Intel’s “breakthrough hyperbaric cooling system” which extracts heat and draws in cool air over the processor.
Other specs include a sixth-gen Core i5 or i7 processor (depending on configuration), 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. HP also switched to USB Type C with three ports.
The Spectre will be available to pre-order on April 25 and will be priced at US$1,170 in the U.S.
