According to Business Insider, a hacker known as Pr0x13 has released a tool called iDict on GitHub capable of bypassing the authentication process set by Apple and opening doors to iCloud accounts.
The tool is described to be 100% working and made possible by exploiting a vulnerability in Apple’s systems. Business Insider said that Pr0x13 didn’t want to take responsibility for the exploit and wants everyone to know that his intentions were to alert Apple to the bug so that the company could patch it as soon as possible.
The tool actually works by using brute-force method to hack the iCloud password. While some Reddit and Twitter users have confirmed that the tool is working, others have reported that Apple has already patched the vulnerability.
No official comment from Apple yet.
