Google’s Now on Tap on Marshmallow, the contextual information feature is being updated with added functionalities.
A new addition is the ability to translate on-screen texts on any app. The new feature works with English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian and can handle multiple languages at the same time.
A new ‘Discover’ mode has also been added which brings up content like youtube videos and articles related to the screen you are on.
Additionally, Now on Tap now lets users search barcodes and QR codes through the camera app. By pointing the camera at the barcode, you’ll get helpful cards related to that object such as user reviews.
