When it comes to the iOS versus Android battle, there is one undeniable fact. Users have far more customisability with the Android OS than users with iOs. While you can set your background and organise folders on the latter, you can also install widgets, customise icons and even use third party launches with the former. And now, Google is taking it one step further with the Android Taste Test microsite which will help you get the perfect smartphone theme.

The website asks a bunch of different questions and gives you two options to choose from. Preceded by “Tap first. Think Later”, the questions and how you answer them will let the platform gauge what kind of interface you’d want. While the answers are black and white, they’re often quite flabbergasting. One of the options was “this Sammich” as opposed to “this Sammich” with each option having two different GIFs of sandwiches moving.
Answering all the questions will have the Android Taste Test generate a bunch of different interfaces with instructions on how to recreate those themes by installing the needed wallpapers, apps and launchers.
The few times I used it, I tried alternating my answers and for the most part, Taste Test gave me varied and interesting results. However, every single time, I was prompted to install Google Gboard, a customizable keyboard from the technology giant.
