It’s been two years since the Chromecast debuted, and it appears from a leak from 9to5Google that Google will be updating the device with a new set of features and better hardware.
The Chromecast has been redesigned into what looks like a headphone which houses faster WiFi and some new wizardry, including what would be similar to newsfeed for your social media or images. The better WiFi will also be used for new features called “Fast Play” and “Chromecast Audio”, which will connect the Chromecast to a device using AUX, giving it Chromecast support.
We’d expect this to be announced along with the Nexus phones later this month.
