Google has overtaken Apple to claim its position as the world’s most valuable brand, according to a survey released this week.
After 3 years at the #1 spot in BrandZ’s “Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands” rankings, Apple officially falls to #2 this year. Google is now at the top of the rankings after growing 40% from last year with a brand value of $159 billion. Apple sits at #2 spot with a 20% decline on brand value to $148 billion.
Facebook’s brand value rose around 70 per cent to $36 billion, putting it around the top twenty. New entries to the ranking this year include Twitter, worth $14 billion at 71st place and LinkedIn $12 billion at the 78th place.
