Well we knew it was happening one way or another. If you’re like me and decided to wait patiently and save up on getting the best for your PC, that time is now.

Nvidia has finally unveiled its long expected GeForce GTX 1080 Ti video card, a successor to its already popular GTX 1080 and Titan X Pascal. It has been known sometime thanks to a ton of leaks. It will cost $699 and will be available next week. Preorders open on March 2.

So how fast is the 1080t Ti ? Nvidia claim it’s 35% faster than the 1080 making it faster than the $1,200 Titan X. Again they are very similar cards using identical GP102 GPU’s with 3,584 stream processors and 224 texture units split across six graphics processing clusters and 28 SMs. It does however, have a higher memory bandwidth ( 484 GB/s) and higher boost clock ( 1.6 GHz , 2 Ghz Overclocked ) and TDP is rated at 250w of power coming in via 6-pin and 8-pin PCIe connectors.

There’s also a better vapour chamber for the Founders edition if that’s your thing which Nvidia says is quieter and will be priced the same as partner cards. The founders edition cards will launch first following partner counterparts. For those with slightly humble budgets don’t need to fret though. Memory improvements are coming down to the GTX 1080 and 1060 and a new, pre-overclocked SKU of the GTX 1080 will feature the same 11GHz memory, while a new GTX 1060 SKU will feature 9GHz memory. Prices are unknown but if you want to buy a 1080 right now, it’s currently under $500.

GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards, including the NVIDIA Founders Edition, will be available worldwide on March 10, from NVIDIA GeForce partners, including ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac.
