Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are coming back!
The Fox network has confirmed rumors that they will be looking at reviving the hit series “The X-Files.”
The original series ran from 1993 to 2002 and starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as 2 paranormal investigators.
It’s true that we’ve had some conversations on ‘X-Files, We’re hopeful of being able to bring that back at some point, said Fox Television Group co-chairmen and CEOs Gary Newman.
Update (24/3/15): Fox has now confirmed that the X-Files is set to return for a limited run. Six-episode series will begin production this summer, with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson back as Mulder and Scully
The network also hinted that “Prison Break” might be considered for a comeback.
There is some speculation in the press about Prison Break, which honestly was slightly news to us, Newman said. Although we’ve made it clear over the years to the studio that we would bring Prison Break back in a heartbeat. It’s probably the perfect event series. If our old partners in that show are interested, that would be great.
