Facebook has announced that it’s going to make “graph search” available in the coming week for its iPhone app, nearly 2 years after its initial release on desktop back in Jan 2013.
Users will have the ability to search inside posts of their friends, giving them access to find photos or even look up specific posts. Facebook said, looking up posts was the most requested feature for Graph Search.
You’ve told us the most important thing is being able to find posts you’ve seen before, and now you can, said Tom Stocky, vice president of search at Facebook.
The company didn’t mention any time frame on when the new features will be available on Android or web yet, but says it intends gather info and feedback from iPhone users before rolling out to other platforms.
