Facebook has paid $10,000 as a reward to a 10-year-old boy from Finland for finding a security flaw in Instagram, making him the youngest recipient of Facebook’s “bug bounty” ever.
Jani, whose last name wasn’t revealed for privacy purposes, found a way to delete any comment on Instagram without even logging in or creating an account.
I wanted to see if Instagram’s comment field could stand malicious code. Turns out it couldn’t, Jani said. I could have deleted anyone’s comments from there. Even Justin Bieber’s. (He should have!)
Jani, learned coding from Youtube videos.
Facebook said that he glitch was fixed back in February and paid the reward to Jani in March.
