Facebook is now testing out a transcript feature for Messenger.
Similar to what’s available on Google Voice, Facebook has started testing a voice transcription feature that will give users a text preview of what the audio clip actually contains. Both parties in a conversation will be able to read the transcription.
Facebook’s David Marcus said that the current plan is to test this feature “at a tiny scale.”
Those who made the cut and are within the test pool can now see a text preview of the message when sent or received. The feature can also be switched off.
