The lawyer did not give more info on the matter.
Back in 2013, Apple was among the first companies accused of participating in NSA’s PRISM data gathering project which the company denied at the time. Apple said that the company is not involved in the supposed PRISM project and that it does not give any government agency access to its servers.
Apple has also made it clear that with iOS 8, it was not possible for Apple itself to decrypt the messages that were sent through their devices.
