Adobe is making it easier to work with PDF files in the cloud. A new partnership with Dropbox now connects users of Adobe Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader to PDFs stored on Dropbox directly from these apps with option to edit them.
This means you can do more with your PDFs, wherever you are. You won’t lose time waiting to get back to your computer to redline or electronically sign a contract, or add feedback to a design mock. And no more printing out a PDF, writing comments on it, scanning it, and emailing it as an attachment. Instead you’ll be able to open a PDF from Dropbox and edit it using the Adobe apps, then save and share your work easily through Dropbox, said Thomas Hansen, Dropbox’s global vice president of sales and channels.
When users open a PDF in the Dropbox app on iOS, a little popup will inform them that they can work and the document using Acrobat. Dropbox users will be able to view and edit PDF documents in the Adobe apps from Dropbox’s web interface, iOS or Android app.
The new integration between Dropbox and Acrobat DC or Reader on the desktop is now available. iOS integrations will follow soon, with Android and Web integrations scheduled for 2016.
