DoubleTwist has released Cloud Player, a new media player on Android that can stream music straight from various cloud services like Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive accounts.
The company said in a statement that it “created CloudPlayer to provide an alternative to crippled, proprietary cloud music lockers that impose painful restrictions on what you can do with the music you own.” CloudPlayer doesn’t have a download or device restriction, and supports lossless audio.
Cloud Player also allows users to choose songs and playlists for offline playback on the app. Additionally, for a $5 in-app purchase, Cloud Player allows you to stream music through Chromecast and AirPlay.
The app is available on Google Play now, the premium version unlocks SuperSound, EQ, AirPlay, Chromecast and cloud support.
