Few weeks ago, BlackBerry announced their latest “innovation”: The BlackBerry Passport”
BlackBerry’s newest smartphone, the BlackBerry Passport is set to launch in September at a special event in London, the company’s CEO John Chen said. And if you’re wondering why BlackBerry would create a smartphone with a square screen, the answer is simple:
“The BlackBerry Passport will take you to new places on the best business trip you’ve ever had. We want you to imagine the possibilities.”
In a blog post, BlackBerry claimed that the new 4.5-inch display Blackberry Passport phone will be an ideal device for professionals. The post said that the square screen and physical keyboard are well-suited for developing spreadsheets and writing notes.
Blackberry also said that all rectangular phones in the market are “limiting innovation,” and that a new shape could change the game.
The Blackberry Passport has a quad core Snapdragon 800, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage with microSD card, a 4.5 inch screen with 1440 X 1440 resolution at 455ppi.
