BlackBerry CEO John Chen showed off the company’s upcoming Android powered smartphone, the “Priv.”
According to Chen, the BlackBerry Priv will have a 5.5-inch dual-curved display, the “latest specs” from Qualcomm, “cameras and all that good stuff” and of course the slider which houses Blackberry’s all mighty QWERTY keyboard.
Chen also denied news of abandoning BlackBerry 10 OS but said, at the moment “this is really the best thing that we could do.”
The Priv. Stands for privacy and privilege. Actually, privacy is what you get. Security is what we provide and privilege is what you end up, said Chen.
No exact launch date is announced yet.
