Fortune Magazine has named Tim Cook the “World’s Greatest Leader.” Cook was recognised for his work after less than 4 years as the successor to Steve Jobs.
Since replacing the legendary Steve Jobs, Cook has led the iBehemoth to even greater financial success, the Fortune article reads. Along the way he’s changed the culture of the company—and found his public voice as a leader.
Cook was named Chief Operating Officer at Apple in 2007. When Jobs became ill, Cook took over as Apple CEO on an interim basis in 2009 and officially became CEO in 2011, shortly before Jobs passed away.
