Apple’s self-driving car project appears to be real and it’s called “Project Titan”, at least according to The Guardian. The British newspaper has reported that Project Titan is infact a reality.
The newspaper said it has obtained correspondence between GoMentum Station, a former naval facility site east of San Francisco that’s being used as a testing ground and an Apple engineer.
In the correspondence, Apple engineer Frank Fearon wrote:
We would … like to get an understanding of timing and availability for the space, and how we would need to coordinate around other parties who would be using [it].
While Apple declined to comment on the report, GoMentum confirmed that there’s an interest but refrained to comment due to a non-disclosure agreement.
