People have been wondering what Apple has in store for its “Photos” OSX app, after the company decided to can Aperture and iPhoto. A new screenshot released by Apple reveals pro-level, fine-tuning editing tools.
More importantly though, third-party extensibility will be supported, allowing developers to bring advanced customisation options. Though this may take some time to be fully taken advantage of, the potential for the Photos app is huge.
In the meantime, Apple is working on a solution to transfer images from Aperture to Photos in time for its OSX Yosemite rollout.
