Apple to buy Beats for $3.2b

GEEK DESK

Apple’s acquisition spree is not ending soon, but it very well might see its biggest yet if the deal to buy Beats goes through for a whopping $3.2b, as reported by the Financial Times.

The move is certainly an interesting one to look at as Beats brings along with it some very good expertise in key things. Better speakers and EarPods are definitely things to look forward to, but what Apple seems to be interested in is the Beats music streaming service as Apple itself is struggling and is repositioning iTunes to take on Spotify and Pandora.

While the deal is not finalised yet, we are expecting an announcement sometime next week.
