Apple has started a replacement program for their USB Type-C charging cable for the 2015 MacBook.
Apple says that cables made until June of 2015 could fail due to a “design issue” and cause interruptions in charging. The company is providing a new redesigned USB-C cable free of charge.
The affected cables have “Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China.” stamped on them. The new redesigned USB-C cables have a serial number after the text.

If you are affected, check the replacement program official page here and follow the instructions to get a new cable.
