In order to reduce buggy releases, Apple is set to release public beta versions of iOS soon. According to a new report, iOS 8.3 will launch as a public beta next month, with a similar public beta for iOS 9 sometime this summer.
The new public beta program will be limited to 100,000 users and will be distributed through the AppleSeed programme, which most likely will be taking the same approach as Yosemite public betas.
The main objective of the iOS beta program will be to ensure a reliable, tested OS before its final release to public. Apple has come under fire for its buggy release of iOS 8 since it launched last year.
There is no confirmation yet that iOS 8.3 will be available as a public beta.
