Apple Maps is probably not your go-to app for accurate location (searching for Dubai Mall gives interesting results) — but the Flyover feature is certainly eye-candy, giving you a lovely tour with incredibly detailed 3D topology of various cities and locations around the world.
Four new additions have been made: Aomori in Japan, Bruges in Belgium, Lake Powell in Utah, and Limoges in France. Unfortunately, Dubai is still a no-show. You can see the full list of locations here.
If you’re in Hong Kong or Mexico, you are now also able to view traffic data.
More importantly, though, is that Apple is rumoured to be developing a service that will directly compete with Google Street View, so these improvement are shaping up Apple Maps quite nicely.
